Andre 3000 Returns To Social Media After 2 Year Hiatus

Andre 3000 is officially returning to social media. The Outkast rapper posted the above photo in May of 2018 and hasn’t posted anything on his page until today (June 10th) 2020.  He has returned to Instagram to promote a shirt and movement in support of Black Lives Matter, posing the question,

“Something very important is happening all over the world and it is happening to all of us. How does it make you feel?

He adds,

“For 3 days, a selection of shirts inspired by a collection of my jumpsuits will be sold and 100% of net proceeds will be donated to Movement for Black Lives @mvmnt4blklives to aid in their fight to end police brutality & racial injustice against Black people. This is only one piece in the war against systemic racism. It takes all of us.  BLACK LIVES MATTER … at a minimum. –

The shirts are being sold under Movement For Black Lives on instagram that shows counter celebrities like Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington and more, who have gotten on board.

In 2019 Andre 2002 spoke with Rick Rubin about  his motivation to create music, just isn’t there right now,

He adds,
“I haven’t been motivated to do a serious project. I’d like to, but it’s just not coming. In my own self, I’m tryna figure out where do I sit. I don’t even know what I am and maybe I’m nothing. Maybe I’m not supposed to be anything.”
