2 Chainz Being Sued By Pablo Escobar’s Family For $10 Million Over Atlanta Restaurant ‘Escobar’
2 Chainz can’t catch a break with his Atlanta based restaurant Escobar. New reports say that Pablo Escobar’s family is suing him for using the name, and they want at least $10 million.
“The company says it owns the trademark to Escobar’s likeness and 2 Chainz is using the name to generate traffic and sales.”
Escobar Inc. is requesting $10 million minimum, as well as an injunction blocking the use of the name and likeness at the restaurants.

In May, The Department of Public Safety reported an incident at the establishment stating,
“The manager for Escobar Restaurant and Tapas was cited after public safety officials received complaints that there were too many people inside the restaurant and bar, violating the state’s executive orders over coronavirus.”
The complaint to DPS came in shortly after midnight on Saturday (May 23rd), when they got repeated calls of people saying that the restaurant and bar were too full. A DPS officer wrote in the report,
“When I entered the establishment, the entire facility was full of patrons, shoulder to shoulder, and was unable to enter safely”

After reports of the complaints swirled the internet, that the restaurant was shut down as it was cited twice for violating social distancing guidelines. 2 Chainz took to the Internet to remove the spotlight from his restaurant.
“Still reporting Escobar been closed! That was on Sunday! Today is Wednesday can ya’ll find something else to report and get off @2Chainz N*ttz!”
