Jamie Foxx Confirms Mike Tyson Biopic Is Moving Forward, Says “We Officially Got The Real Ball Rolling”
Actor/ Singer Jamie Foxx has officially confirmed that the long awaited Mike Tyson biopic is moving forward. Jamie confirmed the film stating:
“a definitive yes. Look, doing biographies is a tough thing, sometimes it takes 20 years to get them done. But we officially got the real ball rolling.”
Jamie Foxx then explained how excited he was to show the audience the different lives that Mike Tyson has lived and he discussed how he is preparing for the role,
“We want to show everybody evolves, I think when we lay the layer of Mike Tyson in this story, I think everybody from young and old will be able to understand this man’s journey. And then just the technology of how I’m gonna look, I guarantee you people will run up on me in the street, and ask for autographs, and think that I’m Mike. Every other day, I do 60 pull-ups, we do 60 dips, we do 100 push-ups. I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we might have to get some prosthetics for that.”
We first reported back in 2017 that Jamie would be playing Mike Tyson in the upcoming biopic when the legendary boxer said,
“It’s on, as of right now. Jamie Foxx has signed on for it. Filming hasn’t started yet but it’s going to happen. A lot of people aren’t going to like the things I’ve done in my life.”
Last month, Jamie showcased his impressions skills when he explained the art of doing impressions in an interview. In the interview, the actor/comedian showcased his impressions of not only Mike Tyson, but also Kermit the Frog, Dave Chappelle, and Sammy Davis Jr. See the full clip below.
