Cardi B Slams Claims She’s Homophobic & Transphobic: I Said Some Ignorant Things Before – I Apologized & Educated Myself!
Rapper, Cardi B is not taking lightly to claims that she is homophobic and transphobic. She recently took to Twitter to respond to the allegations from a social media user, firing off a series of tweets defending herself. In one tweet she exclaims,
“How the fuvk am i homophobic or transphobic? have you been to a carribean island where you really see homophobia! Have you dealt with a parent that can’t accept you for your sexuality? i said some ignorant things b4 that apologized for & educated myself on it don’t mean I’m homo..”

Cardi B has been accused in the past of inappropriate homophobic remarks and in 2018 was called out for a meme that was posted to the superstar’s Facebook account. The now deleted account showed a meme of a man walking through a door, captioned with a homophobic slur. She later tweeted claiming that a former teammate was the one accountable for the post.

Amid a recent Twitter #cardibisoverparty trend, the rapper is further addressing homophobic allegations and claiming her stakes in support of the LGBTQ+ community. (Read tweets below)




Cardi B has seemingly always felt comfortable in the face of adversity, so when #cardibisoverparty began trending at #3 on Twitter, she was likely to confront it. This came when an account alleged that she created a fake Instagram account to say mean things about her long time rival Nicki Minaj, and other fellow female rappers; Doja Cat, Lil Kim, and Megan Thee Stallion.
She opened up in a video stating,
“So I woke up…I’m seeing that they’re trying to make this Cardi B Is Canceled Party…I’m seeing these people, I guess they’re editing or claiming I have a fake Instagram.”
She then goes on to clarify that she does not have a relationship with Lil Kim, and all of the comments on the fake page are photoshopped.
“These people must think I’m a 15 year old girl, and they claim Lil Kim and my hairstylist, makeup artist and sister follows the page. They never did. They even made fake Photoshopped comments from my hairstylist, which we proved was fake.”
She added,
“I don’t even speak to Lil Kim. I’m going to have to check my DMs…I don’t personally know her that well”

Cardi went on to address rumors that she created the page to be shady to her nemesis Nicki Minaj saying,
“They’re claiming I was talking about this girl that I clearly…you know, everybody knows our issues,”
When the hashtag first began, most people had no idea what it was about, but after some investigation, Cardi B cracked the case, and called out the person who allegedly started the rumor on Twitter,
