Pharrell Williams To Produce Gospel Docuseries
Grammy award-winning, mega producer Pharrell Williams is teaming up with streaming giant, Netflix, to produce a docu-series called “Voices of Fire”.
The new show, which features Pharrell’s uncle, Bishop Ezekial Williams, will follow the journey to discover new, great gospel leaders in his hometown of Virginia Beach.

Pharrell Williams is producing the series under his multi-media creative company, I Am Other, which serves as the umbrella for other creative endeavors launched by the “Happy” star. I Am Other, launched a Youtube channel May 12, 2012 and released original content, including Issa Rae’s “Awkward Black Girl” series.

Pharrell has been staying busy. He has teamed up with Black-ish creator, Kenya Barris to develop a feature-length Juneteenth musical, also for Netflix. The inspiration for the musical came from the season 4 opener episode of Black-ish which is ironically titled “Juneteenth: The Musical.”
