The singer has been vocal on social media recently about wanting answers in Breonna Taylor‘s death. She died after being fatally shot by police who were raiding her home. The officers involved have yet to be arrested. Justin Bieber asked on Instagram,
“Wtf going on? I need updates . How are these police officers not arrested. she was innocently shot and killed in her own home by police. I’m not going to forget.”

He also posted a photo that says,
“Black lives still matter even if your feed is back to normal.”

Justin Bieber recently spoke on the role black culture played in his career, and promised back then to be an ally.
“I am inspired by black culture. I have benefited off of black culture. My style, how I sing, dance, perform, and my fashion have all been influenced and inspired by black culture. I am committed to using my platform from this day forward to learn, to speak up about racial injustice and systemic oppression, and to identify ways to be a part of much needed change.”
