Moniece Slaughter Is Still Getting Checks For Singing ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Theme Song

Who knew “Love & Hip Hop” star Moniece Slaughter sung the theme song for “America’s Next Top Model”? Some fans didn’t until she revealed she’s still getting paid from the years-long gig.

The reality star posted to her Instagram story Monday (July 13) and Moniece Slaughter shared that she still receives payment to this very day from singing this song right out of high school. Moniece Slaughter positioned a corner of the check into the frame and stated:

“More America’s next top model money… “YOU WANNA BE ON TOP”
My dad is better than yours…My dad got me the gig to sing the theme song for the show fresh outta high school and it still pays the bills, thank you daddy @davetake6″

This isn’t the first time Moniece has spoken about this. In an interview with FashionBombDaily.com back in 2018, Moniece stated:

“My Dad got me the gig to sing America’s Next Top Model theme song, straight out of high school. I still make a cute little coin from that, now that it’s been syndicated in [several] countries. My godbrother actually revamped the soundtrack a few years back. I was the original singer from Cycle 1 until they started mixing guys and girls. For many years, I had that theme song.”

Moniece’s father just so happens to be David Thomas from the Grammy award-winning gospel singing group Take 6.
