Quavo & Saweetie Went To Magic City & Had Sex On Their First Date
Migos rapper Quavo and rap beauty Saweetie have been together since 2018, and are one of hip-hop’s hottest couples. With lavish birthday gifts and cutesy red carpet appearances, many deem the young lovers their “relationship goals.” Quavo and Saweetie let fans in on their love story in a recent GQ spread.
Quavo’s and Saweetie’s relationship started on Instagram:
“Quavo: I seen her on my Explore page. I was like, ‘D*mn! Who is this?’ So I did my research and I DM her. I was like, ‘How she going to call herself icy and she don’t talk to me?’ So I slid in her DM. I told her, ‘You an icy girl, you need a glacier boy.’
Saweetie: He sent me the snowflake [emoji], and I sent him the stir-fry back!”
She admits that she had a crush on Quavo before she ever met him:
“He’s always been fine to me. In a group chat [with friends], I would screenshot his picture and be like, ‘D*mn, this n*gga is fine.’”
Their chaotic first date – involving a near-choking at an Atlanta steakhouse, a strip club melee, and a fiery argument – ended with them hooking up:
“Saweetie: I’m still getting to know him, so I feel awkward because he’s, like, choking at the table.
Things got even more interesting when a fight broke out while at iconic Atlanta strip club Magic City.
Quavo: I didn’t know if it was on some gang sh*t, so it was like, ‘Let’s get to the car!’ All this time, I forget I’m having a date! She catches up and cussed me out in front of Magic City.”
Despite their awkward beginning, Quavo had no problem revealing they got intimate that same evening and added,
“We ain’t look back since.”
Years later, they’re spending their quarantine together in Los Angeles, Netflix-and-chilling:
“Saweetie: We’ve been watching Ozark, but he falls asleep! I’ll stay up until three or four in the morning, but he’s asleep by [midnight] and up early.”
Lastly, the young rap stars share how they’ve flourished in their relationship:
“Saweetie: Growing up I struggled with communication, and he has taught me to be a better communicator. I feel like I’m growing and I’m maturing because of him—not the music, not Saweetie, but Diamonté…I don’t know how I would be as a person if I would have never met him.
Quavo: When she talk to me and when we started talking to each other, the Saweetie shit go out the window and the Quavo shit go out the window. I give her Quavious. I give her what my mama calls me. I don’t let people inside my life, and I let her inside. And she’s helping me grow up. She’s showing me how to love a woman.”
