Kanye West Hosting 1st Campaign Event In South Carolina Today
After a rocky start, it looks like Kanye West’s presidential campaign is going strong. The Grammy-Award winning rapper is reportedly kicking off his campaign with his first event in South Carolina today (July 19th).
It will reportedly be held at North Charleston’s Exquis Event Center. Everyone who attends will have to register, wear masks, and still practice social distancing.
News of Kanye West’s campaign event comes after the “Chick-Fil-A” rapper asked Souh Carolina to help put him on the ballot.

So far, he’s only on the ballot in Oklahoma after he missed the deadlines for multiple states.
It’s not clear how much headway he’s actually making, but most recently, he polled at 2% and ironically took numbers away from current President Donald Trump, while Vice President Joe Biden’s numbers remained unaffected.

Kanye West announced his run for president on the 4th of July.

His wife, Kim Kardashian West, who is reportedly one of his advisors, supported his move with a simple American flag emoji.
