Adrienne Bailon On Why She Didn’t Post About Tamar Braxton On Social Media: Everything Isn’t For Instagram! Pray For Her In Real Life!
As repeatedly expressed, singer Tamar Braxton‘s firing from daytime talk show, “The Real,” was particularly hard for her co-hosts due to the friendship they’d cultivated outside of the show. Perhaps this is why fans spoke out when none of Tamar Braxton’s former co-hosts posted about her alleged suicide attempt on social media. But, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton has an explanation for that.
In an Instagram Live session with her husband, Israel Houghton, she told fans she’s walking the walk instead of talking the talk:
“I know that there was a lot of questions coming on here, specifically about Tamar [Braxton]…Everything isn’t for Instagram. Everything isn’t for social media…I absolutely wanna encourage people to pray for her, but in real life that’s what I’m doing.”
Adrienne continued:
“So I think when it comes to posting things on social media- if you wanna bring awareness to something that you feel is not being seen. 100%. But at the same time, that’s a really delicate situation and I absolutely think we all should be praying for her, but not for praying for her on social media posts. Like, pray for her in real life. So that- to me – is important. Reaching out to somebody in real life is important. And I just think everything shouldn’t be about ’cause I wanna make you feel comfortable with what I’ve done. Does that make sense?”
Since her firing in 2016, Tamar Braxton has alleged that the hosts – Loni Love in particular – took part in influencing producers to give her the axe.
Loni, Adrienne, Tamera, and Jeannie have all denied those claims.
Last week, Tamar’s boyfriend, David Adefeso, reportedly found her unresponsive in their hotel room after mixing prescription medication with alcohol. Tamar was rushed to the hospital, where she was eventually stabilized, and transferred to a mental health facility.
Continued prayers for Tamar Braxton and her fans, family, and friends.
