During a recent interview, Idris Elba gave an update on his health following being diagnosed with COVID-19 and shared how thankful he is to be alive.
“I do feel like I dodged a bullet – I’m very thankful to be alive.”

“I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”

While speaking on Instagram live with Oprah, Sabrina Dhowre shared how she found out she had the virus.
“Actually, I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive. I’m not surprised. As soon as I heard that Idris was potentially exposed I was on my way anyway and I wanted to be with him. I think that’s an instinct as a wife you just want to go and take care. We didn’t change the way we interacted.”
She continued:
“I could have made a decision to put myself in a separate room or maybe stay away. I’m sure people are making those decisions, they’re tough decisions to make. But I made the decision to want to be with him and still touch him.”
