Kanye West’s Twitter Account Temporarily Suspended After He Posted Journalist’s Phone Number
It looks like Kanye West went too far with one of his tweets.
After he urinated on a Grammy and called out the music industry for allegedly operating like a slave ship, he posted Forbes editor, Randall Lane’s phone number, and wrote:
“If any of my fans want to call a white supremacist … this is the editor of Forbes”
His account was reportedly suspended for 12 hours. Twitter, along with many other social media sites, has banned posting personal information like phone numbers and addresses as its considered online harassment.
A representative for Twitter confirmed that Kanye West’s tweets violated the rules, according to NBC News.
Kanye West hasn’t spoken on his account reportedly being temporarily deactivated yet.
As of Thursday morning (Sept. 17th), his last tweet was at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 16th).
While Kanye West has stayed quiet since his account was reportedly deactivated, two of his famous friends, Rick Fox and Candace Owens, confirmed the news and spread the message on his behalf.
Ahead of his temporary deactivation, he made it clear he wanted out of his contract with UMG and threatened not to release any music until then. He also said he’s trying to own his masters and pass them down to his children. See his tweets below:
Despite all of the drama, his wife Kim Kardashian West is reportedly staying by his side.
An insider said:
“Kim is holding onto her marriage with Kanye and knows that he is bipolar and struggling with his mental health and wants to be there for him and help. She is continuing to support him and does her best to understand him and where he is coming from. She knows he is unconventional and has always known that.”
