Cardi B Addresses Offset Divorce Rumors: I Have Not Shed Not One Tear

Cardi B is addressing the rumors surrounding her recent divorce from Migos rapper, Offset. The 27-year old rapper got candid with her fans Friday night (Sept. 18) while discussing her recent split from Offset as well as clearing up some of the rumors that have been circulating. Cardi B thanked her fans for the love and prayers that they have been sending to her, however she assured fans she is doing well. Cardi said,

“I want to say thank you so much. However, like, I don’t really need it. Like, I’m okay. I want to let ya’ll know I have not shed not one tear.” —“This time, I wasn’t crying. You wanna know why? The reason of my divorce is not because of none of that s*** that ever happened before. It’s not because the cheating. I’m seeing people be like, Oh, he has a baby on the way. That’s a whole f**ing complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls***.”

She continued,

“I just got tired of f**ing arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave.”

During the video, Cardi B also dismissed accusations that she was filing for divorce for attention or a publicity stunt.

“The audacity of some people trying to say I did it for clout. B** I am the f** clout. I never needed anything, I never needed no stunts to sell s***. I got the #1 song right now. –Why would I need anything to sell my next record or next album?”

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset on Tuesday (Sept. 15) after being married for three years. A divorce petition was filed in Superior Court, Fulton County, Georgia. Cardi is asking the court to award her primarily legal and physical custody of their child. The couple are due in court on Nov. 4, 2020.
