Vice Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris Says Tupac Is The Best Rapper Alive
During the NAACP’s virtual convention on Friday (Sept.25), the Vice Presidential nominee, Kamala Harris was asked who she felt was the “best rapper alive.” She answered, “Tupac”. CNN commentator Angela Rye, who moderated the event, quickly corrected the California senator, reminding her that Tupac is no longer living.
“He’s not alive! You said, He lives on…Listen, West Coast girls think Tupac lives on; I’m with you,”
Angela replied.
“I keep doing that,“
Kamala said while laughing.

Kamala Harris then struggled to name a living rapper.
“There’s so many, you know? —There’s some I would not mention right now because they should stay in their lane,”
Kamala explained.
She ultimately passed on answering the question. Needless to say, Twitter users had a lot of opinions about Kamala’s Tupac answer.

The California senator made history last month by becoming the first Black and South Asian woman to accept a major party’s vice presidential nomination.
