Lenny Kravitz On Friendship W/ Ex Lisa Bonet & Her Husband Jason Momoa: People Can’t Believe How Tight We Are
Rockstar singer Lenny Kravitz and actor Jason Momoa are blended family goals.
Lenny. Kravitz said of his friendship with Jason Momoa:
“People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with Zoë’s mom, how we all relate. We just do it because that’s what you do. You let love rule, right?”
“I mean, obviously, after a breakup, it’s work—it takes some work and time, healing and reflection, et cetera. But as far as Jason and I? Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude.’?”
Normally, Lenny Kravitz would have been touring other countries, per usual, but plans took a turn amid the pandemic that has landed him in quarantine alone, beside his two dogs and a daily Facetime chat with his personal workout trainer.
Lenny Kravitz, who packed only a few pairs of jeans for a weekend stay, thought that when COVID-19 first hit, it would blow over within a few days. He said,
“And I’ve been living out of this weekend bag for almost five and a half months.”
In an interview with Men’s Health, in which he’s the cover story, Kravitz shared his refrigerator and gym with viewers to give them insight on the simple life he leads while there.
On the cover, Lenny Kravitz, 56, shows off his ripped 6-pack abs and partially has his vegan lifestyle to thank for it. With his fridge covered top to bottom in mere green fruits and vegetables, he shares
“A great blessing of living here in the Bahamas is that I’m able to grown my own food. So I have a garden where most of this food comes from.”
The singer shared that his “vegan and primarily raw” diet helps to keep his mind and body free for what he does on stage. It doesn’t hurt that he stays in shape with the help of his gym, which resembles more of a tropical oasis surrounded by a few “hand weights,” as he calls them.
COVID-19 cases on the island are reportedly low but people live their lives safely, but according to Kravitz,
“When I’m here, I pretty much live that way anyway. It’s a beautiful thing to really realize what you don’t need. If I have to stay here another five months, five years, I’m good.”
After 11 studio albums, his latest “Raise Vibration,” released in 2018, Kravitz reflects on a time when his ex-wife Lisa Bonnet collaborated with him on two songs and admits that it was her creative influence that helped him realize the world needed who he is.
“It was the first time I’d opened up like that, and had known love like that, and freedom. And watching her do what she did, how she maneuvered, in her artistic life—it was that last thing I needed, on this road.
