Tiffany Haddish Leaves ‘The Last O.G.” + Show Gets Renewed For 4th Season
The Last O.G. is coming back for a fourth season but it looks like Tiffany Haddish’s time on the TBS series is over after a successful 3-season run. According to sources, the “Girl’s Trip” star does not have a contract for season four and is not expected to return.
Details are scarce on the comedian turned actress’ departure from the show, but Tracy Morgan, the star of The Last O.G., is celebrating the return of the series anyway.
In a statement made by Morgan, he said,
“I am so excited that we get to make another season of The Last O.G. All I ever want to do is try and bring joy to people which is hard right now but I appreciate that we will have the chance to go back to work and do what we can to make the world a little brighter.”
Sam Linsky and Adrienne O’Riain who are the co-heads of TBS, TNT and TruTV complimented the show and the lead star, saying,
“The Last O.G. has become more powerfully poignant with each season while always remaining incredibly funny. Tracy Morgan embraces the world with his humor while Owen Smith tackles real-life conversations head-on through hilarity. We can’t wait to see where they take us in season four.”
The show’s premise surrounds Tray, and ex-con who is released from prison after serving 15 years. He attempts to readjust to society in Brooklyn, NY but realizes his city has been gentrified. Tray’s ex-girlfriend Shannon (played by Tiffany Haddish) is now married to a man who is helping to raise his twin teenagers.
