Chadwick Boseman’s Brother Kevin Reveals He’s In Remission After His Own Battle W/ Cancer
Chadwick Boseman’s brother Kevin Boseman has revealed that he has been in remission from his own battle with cancer.
Late actor Chadwick Boseman lost his private 4-year battle with colon cancer on August 28th, at the age of 43.
As previously reported, Chadwick Boseman’s brothers, Kevin and Pastor Derrick Boseman, have spoken on the life and legacy of their brother, saying that they want to have memories of who he was as a person and not just his career. Kevin Boseman said:
“I have been trying to remember Chad and not Chadwick. And there’s just been a lot of Chadwick in the air.”
He added:
“You have to start sharing that person with the world; I always endeavored to just treat him like my brother.”

The “Black Panther” actor’s brothers’ statements came just weeks before Kevin Boseman revealed that he fought a personal battle with cancer as well. In a series of posts on his Instagram story, Kevin Boseman celebrated that he has been cancer-free since 2018.
He started off his message with:
“I’m in remission!!!!!! You read right. I am in remission.”


Adding that he was diagnosed in 2018, and went through 4 rounds of chemotherapy.

Just like Chadwick Boseman, Kevin says that he didn’t share the news with many people.




Kevin Boseman states that the reason he decided to reveal the news is because the loss of Chadwick Boseman was a tragedy, but being in remission something to smile about.
“I wanted to share because while it’s been a year of profound loss and tragedy for so many of us. This is good news. Something to smile about. Something to shout about.”
Adding,
“I hope you’re smiling and shouting with me.


Kevin Boseman then says that tomorrow is not promised, and urges his followers to get everything checked out if something feels off, adding that early detection saves lives.
