Jeezy Talks Moment Jeannie Mai ‘Couldn’t Breathe’ Ahead Of Recent Surgery: I Grabbed Her Immediately & Took Her To The ER

Jeezy is sharing more details about his fiancée and talk show host Jeannie Mai’s recent hospitalization.

It was previously reported that Jeannie Mai had to exit the Dancing With The Stars competition as she underwent surgery for a serious throat condition.

Now, Jeezy is sharing more about what led to her hospitalization. He virtually called in to The Real Thursday (Nov. 12th) and confirmed she had an abscess that was blocking her airwaves. He explained:

“She began to sick, she had some problems with her throat. We took her to the doctor, they gave her a shot of steroids, everything was good, and it happened again. I just started to notice she was having problems breathing. She woke up one morning… and I saw her and she couldn’t breathe. I grabbed her immediately, took her to the emergency room… they found something, but they didn’t know. We went to another doctor… The doctor immediately looked at her and told ‘You’re done with Dancing With the Stars. You’re done. This is life-threatening If you don’t get it fixed right now, you could possibly lose your life.’ For me, that was real.”

He continued:

“You guys know Jeannie more than I do. She’s not a quitter, she’s a fighter. Right after surgery, she was trying to figure out how to get back on that show.”

He added:

“It’s hard to get her to rest, but she’s doing well. She’s eating everything in the house. Between her and Mama Mai, I don’t know.”
