‘Black Panther 2’ To Start Filming In July 2021, Report
As the world continues to salute the life and success of actor Chadwick Boseman, new reports have announced the Black Panther sequel will move forward next year.
Production for the follow-up was initially set for March 2021. It was pushed back after Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death following his four-year battle with colon cancer.

Filming will kick off in Atlanta in July, and will reportedly run through the end of the year.
While it’s still not clear what direction the movie will go in Chadwick Boseman’s absence, sources have said Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett will return.
There are also reports that Letitia Wright will have a bigger role in the sequel. Narcos: Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta is reportedly in negotiations for a potential role as an antagonist.

Marvel previously confirmed that Chadwick Boseman will not appear in the film in a digital form.
Marvel exec Victoria Alonso said, according to The Wrap:
“No. There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us. Our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to history and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really.”
