Bill Cosby Says He’s ‘Very, Very Hopeful’ His 2018 Conviction Will Be Overturned + Stopped Showering Out Of Fear Of Getting COVID-19
Following a hearing that took place on Dec. 1, actor and comedian Bill Cosby is hopeful that his appeal will be won, leading to an overturn in his 2018 sexual assault conviction.
As previously reported, in an 80-minute virtual hearing Tuesday, Dec. 1, in which Bill Cosby was not present, his defense attorney Jennifer Bonjean insisted that her client “never had a fair shot,” citing that trial judge Steven O’Neill permitted five other women to take the stand in the case and tell their accounts of being allegedly drugged and attacked by Bill Cosby. Attorney Bonjean stated,
“A trial on a single offense was converted into a trial on his character.”
Seemingly, that argument deemed significant enough to Justice Max Baer who saw that the inclusion of five women as witnesses as potentially “extraordinarily prejudicial.” Reportedly, the court’s decision on the appeal could take at least three months and if Bill Cosby has a favorable outcome, his 2018 conviction could be reversed.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Bill Cosby stated that he is ‘very, very hopeful’ following that hearing. Cosby admits, ‘we’re not declaring a win,’ but expressed his pleasure that
‘the world got to hear and witness what mainstream media refused to publish, which was the truth and the facts.’
He previously praised his attorney after the Dec. 1 hearing, saying
“This morning, people around the world witnessed a beautiful presentation by Attorney Jennifer Bonjean regarding two (2) important issues — Immunity & the misuse of a law called, 404 (b) or PBAs (Prior Bad Acts Witnesses). I’m so happy because I hope and truly believe that justice will prevail.”
While Cosby is remaining in good spirits about his appeal, he is concerned about the COVID-19 cases near his cell. To maintain his safety, he stated,
‘As of now I have declined to take any showers and I have decided to take wash-ups in my cell. This is the best way for me to stay safe and healthy.’
In addition to keeping up his fitness and his own health, he advises,
‘Take plenty Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium, B12 and Elderberry Syrup because we must save lives from this invisible monster…in every city in America.’
