Ashanti Gives Update On Her Health Following COVID Diagnosis & Reveals That Her Mother Was Recently Released From The Hospital
We’re happy to share the news that Ashanti seems to be doing much better following her COVID diagnosis. As we exclusively reported, the highly anticipated Verzuz battle between Ashanti and Keyshia Cole was postponed due to someone on Ashanti’s team contracting COVID.

It was later revealed that Ashanti was the one who was unfortunately diagnosed with the virus.

However, the ‘Foolish’ singer recently shared that she’s still filled with gratitude and love. On Christmas Eve, Ashanti uploaded a selfie to her Instagram page and thanked her fans and loved ones for showing her support during this time. She wrote,
“Hey yall just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. I’ve gotten so many calls, texts, emails and DM‘s checking in on me and my family and I’m super grateful for that. I’m feeling much better…”
The songstress also alluded to her mom being hospitalized for COVID as well. She continued,
“Thanking God that my mom is out of the hospital and my dad is doing well. Needless to say this will be a very different Christmas.. but still filled with gratitude and love. Thanks Bink for dropping off the herbal tea’s. Merry Christmas Eve”
