Kerry Washington’s Husband, Actor Nnamdi Asomugha Says There Are No Plans For Them To Collaborate On A Project
It’s always a special treat when you get to watch spouses work together on screen, but for Nnamdi Asomugha and his wife actress Kerry Washington it doesn’t look like we’ll get to see that happen any time soon.
Nnamdi Asonugha, who’s the star of the new drama “Sylvie’s Love,” which made its Amazon premiere on Dec. 23, opened up about whether he and his wife plan to collaborate in the future.
He stated,
“I produced “American Son,” but as actors, there’s no plan as of now for that collaboration. We’re very supportive of each other’s journeys, but we’ve always been that way. We always want the best for each other in whatever we’re doing. And so it’s not in the detail of specific things; It’s just an overall appreciation for the hard work.”
Nnamdi, a successful producer and actor, wasn’t always in the movie making industry. He talked about his transition from being an NFL player to where he is now.
I was just obsessed with movies and television growing up. When I finished playing, the advice I kept getting from former players was find something to do that you are absolutely in love with. Because the love you have for it is what will sustain and lead you. And I knew that this was an avenue. I didn’t know that it was necessarily going to be producing, but I knew I wanted to go into acting.
For now, both actors can be found working successfully on their own projects. Kerry Washington, well-known for her prominent role as Olivia Pope on the popular TV series “Scandal“, recently played Mia Warren on the TV mini-series, “Little Fires Everywhere”.
Do you hope there can be a project that the two can work on in the future? Let us know your thoughts.
