Matt Barnes’ Girlfriend Anansa Sims Sends Him Sweet B-Day Message After Getting Back Together: We’ve Been Forged In The Fire, Now We’re Stronger Than Ever

Retired NBA star Matt Barnes and his girlfriend, Anansa Sims, went through a pretty ugly breakup last year. From sharing screenshots of text messages to attempting to get a restraining order, their public played out in the public for fans to see.

But now, they’ve gotten back together and it looks like they’re learning from their past.

The couple, who welcomed son Ashton back in December 2018, celebrated his 41st birthday together earlier this week. Anansa Sims shared photos of them together as she addressed their rocky past in the caption, writing:

“Happy Birthday My Love!! You’re an amazing Man and Father. I didn’t know that I could love you more than I did before. We’ve been forged in the fire, now we’re stronger than ever. Our love is a testimony of Gods grace, forgiveness and His mercy. I’m so grateful to spend this special day with you. You’re the King of my heart. I love you” 

Matt Barnes first confirmed they were back together when they celebrated the new year.

Rumors of reconciliation started in August 2020 when he celebrated her best friend’s birthday with her (swipe to see).
