Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez have broken their silence after reportedly calling off their engagement Friday (March 12th). They told TMZ,

“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.”

Their breakup came nearly two months after Alex Rodriguez was accused of getting too close with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.

During the reunion special for the Bravo reality show in January, cast member Craig Conover accused Madison LeCroy of being a “homewrecker.” He claimed she cheated on his friend Austen Kroll with a married MLB player. Madison LeCroy denied the allegations.

Fans were convinced the unnamed MLB player was Alex Rodriguez. Madison shut down rumors of an affair with Page Six, and said that she and Alex Rodriguez only spoke on the phone, but never actually met, calling the exchange “innocent.”

She said he was nothing more than an “acquaintance” and added,

“He’s never physically cheated on his fiancée with me.”

An insider also said back then, “Alex doesn’t know her and has never met her.” Madison’s sister also spoke out and said that Alex isn’t married, but engaged.

Now, a source has clarified that Alex and Jennifer Lopez had issues way before the ordeal with Madison. They said the two “started fighting a lot” at the end of 2020.

They added,

“Alex has had a problem texting girls for years. There is no proof that he has moved past the texting flirtation stage, but the evidence had continued piling up and became too much to ignore.”
