Lala Anthony & 50 Cent Are Creating A Limited Drama Series About The Life Of Cyntoia Brown-Long
Lala Anthony and 50 Cent are teaming up to create a limited series about the life of Cyntoia Brown-Long. Cyntoia Brown-Long is an author/public speaker who was sentenced to life in prison for killing a man when she was 16-years-old. Brown-Long was a victim of sex trafficking at the time of the murder and claims that she feared the man involved in the incident was going to harm her. After serving 15 years Brown-Long was granted clemency and released in 2019. The popular TV network Starz has put in development an upcoming series called The Case of Cyntoia Brown, which will be a drama series based on Brown-Long’s book Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System.

According to reports, Lala Anthony is the mastermind/executive producer behind the upcoming series and she shared her idea with her friend 50 Cent who has a production company, G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. banner, and an overall deal with Starz. The show will be written by Santa Sierra, who has many notable writing credits under her belt including working on 50 Cent’s hit project Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Santa Sierra will serve as an executive producer as well.
