The head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke, also released a statement on the couple’s first-look deal. She said,
“Russell and Ciara are a true powerhouse producing duo — both with extraordinary success in their respective careers on the field and the stage, their business ventures and shared dedication to philanthropy. We share a passion for developing diverse and emotionally connecting stories that can inspire the world and spread positivity and hope. Our world certainly needs it.”
This isn’t the first time that Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson have teamed up for a joint venture. In addition to that, that same year they announced they were opening up their own free public high school, Why Not You Academy, in the state of Washington. The school is scheduled to be up and running in the fall of this year.
