Tyrese Says He & The Rock Talk ‘Every Other Day’ After Ending 3-Year Feud: We Reconnected In A Real Way
Tyrese and The Rock are finally back in each other’s good graces.
The Fast & Furious co-stars started feuding in 2017 after Tyrese blamed The Rock for postponing F9 (which was released Friday, June 25th) when he landed his own spinoff Hobbs & Shaw. See some of Tyrese’s social media posts below.

The Rock addressed the feud in July 2018 and told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live,
“We haven’t talked at all. That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’ve been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. And, you know, I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it, and it was really one-sided and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media.”
Fortunately, they were able to settle their issues in December 2020. Tyrese said back then on Stir Crazy With Josh Horowitz:
“Me and ‘The Rock’ peaced up, by the way. We talked for, like, four hours about three weeks ago. It was great.”
And it looks like they’re still going strong. Tyrese told Tiffany Haddish as she served as guest host for The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday (June 28th),
“We’ve been on the phone every other day. We reconnected in a real way. I think we’re both better men on the other side of all that stuff that went down. To be honest, I didn’t know how the phone call would happen. But it did happen and we’re about 20 phone calls in.”
Still, their friendship wouldn’t be complete without a friendly battle. Tyrese added,
“We’re in a competition right now on who can leave the longest voice note.”
