DaBaby Dropped From Austin City Limits, Music Midtown & iHeart Radio Music Festival Despite 2nd Apology For Homophobic Remarks
Update #1 (Aug. 3): DaBaby’s apology wasn’t enough to keep him in the lineup for two upcoming music festivals.
Austin City Limits, which is scheduled for Oct. 1 thru Oct. 10, took to Twitter to announce that he was removed from the list of stars to take the stage.

Music Midtown, which is set for Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 also made a similar announcement.

iHeart Music Festival has also pulled him from the bill for the Sept. 17 – Sept. 18 event. It confirmed the news to Rolling Stone in a statement that said,
“DaBaby will no longer be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Daytime Stage.”
He was previously pulled from Lollapalooza, the Governors Ball, and Day In Vegas after making controversial remarks at Rolling Loud Miami last month.
DaBaby appeared to respond when he shared a clip of him all smiles on a private jet just moments after the announcement.

Original Story: DaBaby offered another apology today (August 2nd), after being pulled from the Governors Ball and Day N Vegas festivals.
The backlash comes a week after he was accused of making homophobic comments about AIDS and the gay community at the Rolling Loud festival and afterward. Today, he apologized on social media writing:
“Social Media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes. As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me — knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance — has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed and it was received.
He continued,
“I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I knew education on this is important. Love to all. God bless. – DaBaby”
