Rapper Yella Beezy Claims Police Mistook Hand Sanitizer For Drugs During Arrest: I Went To Jail For Hand Sanitizer, Not Drugs!

Update #1 (Aug. 13): Yella Beezy has spoken out after being arrested recently.

He took to Instagram with a video Friday (Aug. 13) and said,

“I went to jail and got arrested for hand sanitizer, not no drugs bruh. Let me tell you how desperate they is to make an arrest. Homie got a brand of hand sanitizer that looks like a drink. But it say hand sanitizer on it. Just like how girls got the eyelashes in a pill jar, she got hand sanitizer in a drink bottle.”

He said the police didn’t believe him, even though the woman who makes the hand sanitizer brought cases to the facility he was being held in an attempt to clear his name. He said the gun charge was only in relation to the drug accusation.

He ended with,

“I’m the first rapper that went to jail over hand sanitizer.”

He shared more in the caption and wrote,

“Wen they run test on the Hand Sanitizer the charges gone be dropped . Lied again and said the dogs “alerted” on my car – everybody know i don’t smoke! On straight bs…. i told the man smell it or put it on your hand and they wouldn’t , couldn’t do nothing about the guns Cuzz everything legit but when guns and “drugs” together that’s a case . Even tho it’s hand sanitizer they still charged me until they find out lol … all they had to do was smell it or put some on took money , jewelry and phones for what ???? Crazy !”

Original Story: Yella Beezy has found himself in legal trouble. Today (August 11th), the rapper was reportedly arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The arrest came just hours after he posted on social media appearing to show law enforcement searching a car. See the clip below.

footage was captioned “they stay fwm,” an abbreviation for the term “f**king with me.”

The cops had their blue and red lights flashing at the time the video was taken.

This arrest comes just six months after Beezy was arrested on weapon charges in Dallas. However, the artist claimed he was set up.

No additional details about his latest arrest have been revealed.
