Wendy Williams Show Says Host is Dealing With Ongoing Health Issues
On Thursday, September 9th, an Instagram post was shared to The Wendy Show account revealing that the 57-year-old talk show host was taking a break to battle some undisclosed health issues. The message says,
“Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations. She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can’t wait to be back in her purple chair Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere.”

Wendy Williams is still expected to host for her show’s 13th season premiere. Her exact health issue isn’t disclosed. This is not the first time Wendy Williams’ health has been a topic of discussion.

She’s been open about our struggle with Graves’ disease, a condition that causes the immune system to attack the thyroid, in the past. She revealed some of her health struggles in 2018 on the Dr. Oz Show.

This also isn’t the first time Wendy Williams stopped filming and production over health issues either. Just last year in May she put the show on hiatus because she was experiencing fatigue brought on by her Graves’ disease. At the time, her team put out a statement and said,
“Recently Wendy has been dealing with symptoms from her Graves’ disease which is causing fatigue. In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment.”
