Drake At Center of A Debate Questioning If He’s A Bigger Artist Than Michael Jackson & The Beatles
Would you consider Drake to be a bigger artist than Michael Jackson and The Beatles?
Over the weekend Billboard shared a tweet to their 12.4 million followers asking if Drake’s chart success makes him bigger than Michael Jackson and The Beatles during their peaks. As previously reported, Drake dropped his sixth studio album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ on September 3. CLB debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and broke both Apple Music and Spotify’s 2021 record for largest streaming debut within a single day. In addition to that, CLB also contained the most US top-ten singles from one album.
Following Billboard’s tweet, many music fans weighed in on the conversation as they debated if Drake is bigger than Michael Jackson and The Beatles.

Earlier this month rapper Fat Joe offered his own take on Drake and compared the ‘Take Care’ rapper to Ja Rule. While chatting with Ja Rule, Fat Joe said,
“Bro, no disrespect to your hip hop roots, [but] you’re a pop star! I always tell everybody you was the Drake before Drake. You had hit after hit after hit after hit.”
Ja Rule replied,
“I ain’t gon’ lie, Drizzy the GOAT. Drizzy the GOAT, man. Drizzy one of them GOATs. Drizzy one of the GOATs.”
