Nicki Minaj Facing $20 Million Lawsuit From Reporter, Rapper Previously Leaked Her Phone Number & Address While Accusing Her Of Harassment

Did Nicki Minaj threaten a reporter?

As if making headlines last week for her comments on the COVID-19 vaccine and allegedly being invited to the White House weren’t enough for Nicki Minaj, the rapper has since threatened a reporter for allegedly harassing her family. And the reporter appears to be suing her for $20 million as a result.

On Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, the NY rapper opened up on Twitter about not attending the Met Gala due to not being vaccinated. While sharing her thoughts on the vaccine, she also told fans, that a friend of her cousin experienced swollen testicles as a result. In her tweet she said,

“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied”

Following her tweets, Nicki Minaj has faced backlash from all sides including criticism from Dr. Fauci, and CNN anchor, Joy Reid, who called the rapper out on her MSNBC show The ReidOut.

Don Lemon also reacted to Minaj’s comments saying,

“The people talking about, ‘I don’t know what’s in the shot’ … You know what they get shots in nowadays? In their rear ends, they’re getting shots to make it bigger. They’re getting shots in their face. They don’t know what’s in Botox. You don’t have to listen to a minority of people who are being harmful to the greater good and who are not acting on logic, reason, and science.”

The rapper then claimed that a reporter in Trinidad was harassing her family and trying to contact them. In a series of Instagram stories, Nicki alleges the reporter contacted her but the conversation did not seem to go well. She posted the conversation along with the reporter’s information.

In a now-deleted tweet, Nicki continued to call out reporter Sharlene Rampersad, who also responded to Nicki Minaj on Twitter – however shortly after Rampersad deleted the tweets and her account.

As the back and forth between the reporter and Minaj has continued, on today, Sept. 21st, 2021, an Instagram account appearing to belong to Sharlene Rampersad, accused the rapper of leaking her personal information and announced a $20 million lawsuit. On her Instagram story, she wrote,

“Me and my lawyers are suing Mrs. Minaj for 20 million. After she posted my address and put my daughter in danger.” 

In another post, she continued,

“[Minaj] continues to leak my phone number, all of this has already been sent to my lawyers. I’ll be flying into Los Angeles tomorrow.” 

The account has since been deleted.
