Tamron Hall Show Executive Producer, Candi Carter, Abruptly Quit Amid Allegations That Hall Is Creating A Toxic Work Environment
It seems that things behind the scenes on the Tamron Hall Show aren’t all good. According to reports, an executive producer of the Tamron Hall Show, Candi Carter, has recently quit amid allegations that Tamron Hall is creating a toxic work environment. An insider shared,
“Candi was so done with Tamron that she requested that ABC take her off the show. The environment that Tamron has created on her show is toxic. It is literally bleeding staff.”
The source continued,
“Tamron didn’t like that Candi tried to steer the ship and had ideas that clashed with hers, because Tamron believes the only opinion that matters is her opinion.”
They added,
“When you work with Tamron, it’s her way or the highway. Candi’s now on that highway to a much better job away from the cattiness that is destroying Tamron’s show.”
Candi Carter will reportedly stay on at ABC. Some speculate that she’ll work on a new show coming to the network. While others think she’ll return to her former role as an EP for The View. As previously reported, Candi Carter became the first African-American to serve in an EP role for The View before the start of its 20th season. News broke that she would be leaving The View to work on the Tamron Hall Show in March of last year.
The insider spoke on Candi Carter possibly returning to her former job.
“Candi came up with Oprah Winfrey and steered ‘The View’ in the right direction when it was in freefall, she knows what she is doing.”
“Staff are buzzing that Candi could replace Brian Teta (the current executive producer) at ‘The View’ as last Friday was an embarrassment.”
Last month during a live TV airing of The View co-host Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin were pulled off of the set after allegedly testing positive for Covid. It was later revealed both ladies had false positive test results.
The insider continued dishing on the situation and offered their praises to Candi Carter.
“Candi is a strong executive who understands what makes news, pop culture and can handle difficult hosts. It’s a real loss for the show, as now it’s all Tamron, all the time.”
According to reports, Candi Carter is the 3rd producer to leave Tamron Hall’s talk show. Previous producer Bill Geddie, who created The View, exited the series last year and EP Talia Parkinson-Jones left shortly after.
