Wayne Brady Plans To Co-Parent Ex-Wife & Her Partner’s Newborn Son: He’s Going To Call Me ‘Duncle’ Because I Plan On Being Around
Wayne Brady is giving the term ‘blended family’ an upgrade.
On his Instagram account, the 49-year-old Let’s Make A Deal host expresses his excitement over a new addition to his family and his new role.
In a video, Wayne Brady can be seen holding Sunny, the adoptive son of his ex-wife Mandie Taketa and her boyfriend Jason Fordham. Brady also mentioned that he is Sunny’s godfather before saying,
“He’s gonna call me Duncle (Daddy/Uncle) because I plan on being around and doing all that stuff.”

In his caption he added,
“Hey y’all, meet Sunny! I love this little man already. They say it takes a village to raise a child and they’re right! The village of @mandietaketa, myself, and @jasonmichaelfordham raised @theofficialmailebrady. All children will know is love if that’s what you show them. I’m honored to be in his life as his ‘Duncle’ and I love Mandie and Jason for including me in their journey.”
Following Sunny’s introduction, Brady also posted pictures of himself and his god-son in matching Versace robes.
Wayne Brady and his ex-wife married in 1999 but later divorced in 2008. Together they share one child, Malie Brady, who turned 18 this year.
Last summer, the ex-couple also appeared on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
