R.Kelly’s Streams Soared Over 500 Percent After His Conviction + One Of His Victims, Faith Rodgers, Says He Can’t Be Rehabilitated
Despite his conviction, R. Kelly’s streams have soared to great heights.
R.Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking on Sept. 27th. He could get 10 years to life when sentenced.
R.KellyReportedly, his album sales went up 517 percent, his on-demand audio streams went up 22 percent, and his video streams went up 23 percent. As previously reported, YouTube has terminated R. Kelly’s official music accounts only days before his streams began to skyrocket.
Many people have given their opinions on what should happen with R.Kelly. Singer, Syleena Johnson, said he needed to be put in a mental health facility and not jail on an episode of Cocktails With Queens.
“I think he has really been misjudged here. I don’t think he needs to be in jail. I think he needs to be in an insane asylum. Real talk. Don’t get it twisted. I think he needs to be in a straight jacket. I think some of the behavior that has been going`down has been erratic, and I think that a lot of Black men in jail have been misjudged.”
Now one of his victims, Faith Rodgers, is expressing her opinion on whether R.Kelly can get rehabilitated. In a recent clip, she said,
“If you take accountability and you make changes… you can change but if you don’t wanna take accountability there’s never gonna be any change.”
The reporter goes on to ask,
“If he says he’s wrong do you think he can actually be rehabilitated?”
She responds swiftly and says,
“No.”
