Travis Scott Facing $2 Billion Lawsuit On Behalf Of 282 Astroworld Attendees
Travis Scott‘s legal issues are piling up at a rapid pace–and his latest lawsuit could be extra costly!
As you may recall, Travis Scott has been in hot water since his Astroworld Festival ended in tragedy earlier this month. During the “SICKO MODE” rapper’s set, a violent crowd surge erupted–resulting in at least 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries. Travis Scott is accused of not stopping the show to ensure the audience’s safety, allegedly allowing the disaster to continue.

Since the tragedy, Travis Scott has been hit with a number of different lawsuits–hitting the triple-digits just last week. Now, the 29-year-old rapper is facing a particularly hefty legal matter. According to recent reports, Travis Scott is being sued in a whopping $2 billion lawsuit on behalf of 282 festivalgoers. Live Nation, Apple Music, NRG Stadium, and Drake are all also named in the filing.

The lawsuit was filed by San Antonio-based attorney Thomas J. Henry yesterday (Thursday, Nov. 18th). The lawyer addressed the matter by stating:
“The defendants stood to make an exorbitant amount of money off this event, and they still chose to cut corners, cut costs, and put attendees at risk. My clients want to ensure the defendants are held responsible for their actions, and they want to send the message to all performers, event organizers, and promoters that what happened at Astroworld cannot happen again.”
He added:
“They have injuries ranging from heart attacks, to heart issues, to brain injuries, to spinal injuries, to broken bones, broken legs, eye injuries, internal organ injuries, bruising and bleeding. Those who were injured are still very traumatized because they had to step over dead bodies. They didn’t have a choice because there was nowhere to move. These people were trapped. The crushing effect was so heavy and hard. They couldn’t breathe. They couldn’t get out.”
Travis Scott remains inactive on social media and hasn’t addressed his growing number of lawsuits.
