Drakeo the Ruler’s mother, Darrylene Corniel, spoke highly of her son during the funeral and said,
“It really hit me last night. Reality is setting in. This is my baby. My son had class, and I wanted him to go out with class.”
His younger brother, rapper Ralfy The Plug, added,
“He was my role model. He made sure I knew the best of everything. He made me start rapping. He was getting so much money and made it look so easy.”
Following the funeral service, Drakeo was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
As previously reported, Drakeo was unfortunately killed last December while backstage at the ‘Once Upon a Time in L.A.’ music festival. According to reports, he was attacked and fatally stabbed in the neck. He was 28 at the time of his passing. Drakeo’s murder case investigation is still ongoing.

Earlier this month, the mother of the late rapper’s 5-year old son filed a $60 million wrongful death lawsuit against Live Nation on his behalf. The lawsuit argues that Live Nation was,
“completely knowledgeable of the potential dangers posed to both their guests and the performers they hired based on numerous past incidents of violence and death at their hip hop events.”
