Kanye West Makes $2.2 Million In Sales From Stem Player After Revealing ‘Donda 2’ Will Exclusively Stream On His Own Platform
It seems like Kanye “Ye” West has already made millions off of his upcoming album!
Over the weekend Kanye West announced to his 14.5 million Instagram followers that his next album ‘Donda 2,’ which will reportedly drop on February 22, won’t be available on any major streaming services. Instead, the Yeezy owner shared that fans can listen to the project exclusively on his own platform, the $200 Stem Player.
In the caption for his IG post, he wrote,
“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube. Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”
In a second post, he added,
“You can play 4 different elements of the track: vocals, drums, bass and music. It also has a MP3 player available. We currently have 67,000 available and are making 3,000 a day. Go click the link in my bio to purchase”
Kanye West’s fans are seemingly here for his latest business venture! In a now-deleted IG post, Kanye revealed that he’s already made over $2 million in sales from his Stem Player. He wrote,
“We’ve made $2,227,012.05 in 24 hours. God is good Thank you guys for taking this journey.”
As previously reported, Kanye initially shared plans about his new music platform last August, prior to the release of his first ‘Donda’ album. The ‘Moon’ rapper has reportedly been working on his Stem Player since 2019.
