Lil Baby Explains Why He Doesn’t Have Tattoos: I Don’t Want People To Look At Me Like I’m A Thug
While tattoos are a part of the hip-hop culture and it’s rare to see a rapper without them, it looks like Lil Baby has no problem being different!
In a resurfaced video clip from 2020, Lil Baby had an interview with radio host/actor Big Boy where he talked about his career, his fans, and the goals he had for the future. During the interview, the “Woah” rapper also explained why he doesn’t have any tattoos. Lil Baby, 27, explains that he wanted to keep his appearance clean even from a young age.
“I don’t want no tattoos. I know i’m going to have something to do when I get older–with my money–and I don’t want to be like a thug. Even though I was a thug, I don’t want people to look at me like a thug.. People with tattoos–to me you look like a thug. ”

This isn’t the first time the “We Paid” rapper opened up about not having tattoos. In a previous interview with The New York Times, Lil Baby said he never wanted to be seen as a “dope boy” when handling business so he made a conscious decision to stay away from the ink!
“I never saw me being a rapper, a big-dog dope boy, that’s it. Not even just a dope boy. That’s why I ain’t got no tattoos, because I always knew I was going to run my money up, and I was going to have to go sit in front of some people to do something with my money. And I didn’t want them to look at me like a dope boy.”
