Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again To Release New Album ‘The Last Slimeto’
Music and culture commentator, DJ Akademiks, 30, recently caught up with Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again, 22. The young rapper has been making his mark in the industry for the last four years, dropping back-to-back hits on the second most visited website after Google, YouTube. YoungBoy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, is known as a rapper to drop consistent music, which according to him is the norm.
On Tuesday (March 22), according to Hot New Hip Hop, it was reported that the 22 year-old rapper had officially surpassed 10 billion video views on YouTube, remaining as the platform’s #1-ranked artist for the entire duration of 2022 so far. While YoungBoy remains on house arrest as he awaits his court date on May 16 for gun and drug charges, fans are eager to hear what’s next from YoungBoy, as he has deleted his social media presence.

DJ Akademiks, real name Livingston Allen, took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 23) to share the latest update about YoungBoy after speaking with him.
The rapper confirmed that he will be releasing a new album titled The Last Slimeto, available for pre-order this Friday. DJ Akademiks says in the tweet,
“Talked to YB .. he in great spirits n focused … I complimented him on his work ethic dropping so much music and so consistently n he said this the average for him.. he got a whole nother level … n said “The Last Slimeto” a album not a EP. want his fans to pre order it fri.”
Looks like YoungBoy didn’t release his album on the same day Chicago rapper and enemy Lil Durk dropped his album, 7220, which was speculated following the Instagram post shared by Lil Durk.
