Iggy Azalea Reveals She’s ‘Not Even Remotely On Good Terms’ W/ Playboi Carti As She Calls Him Out For Claiming He Financially Takes Care Of Her

Iggy Azalea made it clear in her 2014 single that she “Don’t Need Y’all,” and she’s still singing the same tune—this time to her rapper ex-boyfriend/baby daddy Playboi Carti.

The “Black Widow” rapper lashed out at 25-year-old Playboi Carti, born Jordan Carter, in a series of tweets after he claimed in a recent interview that he takes care of her and a slew of other people in his life. Iggy Azalea, 31, said,

“Take care of me? Lmaooooo let’s not get carried away now.”

Iggy Azalea then answered a few comments from fans about the situation and shared she “laughed a lot” at Playboi Carti’s interview. When another fan asked her why she didn’t focus her energy on the “so many” good things Carti had to say about her in the interview she replied,

“You’ve been mislead. I don’t f*ck with a man I’m not even remotely on good terms with claiming he pays my bills. I pay my bills.”

During the interview, Playboi Carti said,

“I’m a father. You know what I’m saying? You know how it is having kids. I just got responsibilities. I pay a lot of bills. I take care of a lot of people. I take care of my mom. I take care of my family. I take care of my baby mom [and] I take care of my son. There’s a lot of people I take care of. So, it’s like, I gotta keep doing it.”

He continued and shared what he’s most looking forward to and gave his ex her praises for being a “great mom.”

“My son. His birthday is coming up in three weeks. I got him a crazy chain, too. He’s going to be a problem. That’s who you need on the next cover. He’s beautiful. And Iggy, she’s a great mom. I love her to death. I’m single. She’s single now. But that’s one of the best mothers in the world. And that’s what you got to put in the book, you hear me? I love her to death. She is the best mother in the world.”

Iggy Azalea and Playboi Cartistarted dating in 2018 and welcomed their two-year-old son, Onyx, in April 2020. Rumors of an alleged split was confirmed just six months later, with Iggy Azalea saying at the time that she was raising their son alone.

Co-parenting has seemingly been rocky for the former lovers since their breakup. Iggy Azalea previously called out the “Fell In Luv” rapper for not spending Christmas with their son and refusing to sign his birth certificate.
