Asian Doll Opens Up About Issues W/ Parents: Not Having A Mom Or Daddy Support Or Relationship Is Really F*cked Up For Me
Despite her trap persona, it seems like Asian Doll is yearning for her parents’ love.
Rapper Asian Doll (aka Asian Da Brat), 25, recently shared via Twitter that she doesn’t have support from her parents nor a relationship with them. She also revealed that her upbringing is the reason she doesn’t love easily and tends to lash out at others. She tweeted,
“I have mommy issues BAD & it’s sad honestly.”
In a now-deleted tweet, the Dallas native described the relationship with her mother as only teaching her “gangsta sh*t.” According to Asian Doll, born Misharron Allen, that’s why she entered the music industry fighting. She said,
“My mom only taught me gangsta sh*t like how to sell d*pe, how to protect myself & be a f*ck*ng crip. Sh*t sad & y’all wonder why I came in the game physically fighting others that’s all I knew.”
Asian Doll’s heartfelt tweets didn’t end there. She then shared how her relationship with her father impacts how she deals with men in her life today.
“My dad is the 1st male to ever break my heart literally so he’s the reason I don’t love n*ggas easily I just know how to show them loyalty I don’t even be in love.”
In a follow-up tweet, Asian Doll acknowledged the fact that her parents are alive and well, but not being in their lives is affecting her. She tweeted,
“Both my parents still living & heathy but not having a mom or daddy support or relationship is really f*cked for me I be having to teach myself sh*t they should’ve im glad I have balance tho & im so over worked that I’m numb to not having a relationship
with my parents.”
Prior to the saddened tweets, Asian Doll posted snippets of two of her unreleased tracks, with one that appears to feature sounds of gospel and drill mixed together. Hopefully, the rapper is in good spirits during this time.
