Ray J Says He & Kim Kardashian Would Still Be Together If She Didn’t “Steal Money” From Brandy

Ray J is getting candid about what led to his split from Kim Kardashian. 

The R&B singer revealed in an interview recently, that he’d probably still be with reality TV star Kim Kardashian, if it wasn’t for her past thievery. During the interview, Ray J stated:

“Apart from them stealing money from my family, we would probably still be together now.”

Then continued:

“But when that happened, I said I don’t want to be sleeping around with you no more – you stole money from my family. So that’s why we stopped speaking.”

Ray J, 41, dated SKIMS owner Kim Kardashian, 41, back in 2003. The pair met while Kim was working as a stylist for Ray J’s famous sister, actress and singer Brandy. Before the “One Wish” singer split from Kim K in 2006, Ray J and Brandy’s mother sued Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian for allegedly charging over $120,000 in unauthorized purchases on the Norwood’s AMEX card. Reportedly, the charges were to stock the sisters clothing line DASH and Smooch. The lawsuit was reportedly settled outside of court.

Ray J recently called out Kim and her famous reality TV family for “falsely” using him as a plotline in their new Hulu series The Kardashian’s. In the first season of the revamped reality show, Ray J and Kim’s infamous sex tape resurfaces, causing Kim to have an emotionally triggered response. The show claimed that Ray J‘s management team contacted Kim, threatening to release unseen footage of the tape. By the episode’s end, Kim’s entourage sat in awe as her then husband, Kanye West, supposedly retrieved all remaining footage from Ray J and gifted it to her.

However, Ray J claims that the entire sex tape ordeal was orchestrated by none other than Kim’s momager, Kris Jenner. Sources, however, have denied Ray J’s statements, counterclaiming that he and Kim were paid over $50million for the video.
