Ice Cube Lands Multi-Picture TV & Film Deal, Prepping Comedy Film About A White Guy Who Walks Around Hearing The Voice Of N.W.A. After Accident
Rapper/actor Ice Cube is making his way back to the big screen!
The 52-year-old filmmaker founded his own film and television production company nearly 30 years ago called Cube Vision. Ice Cube and Cube Vision have now signed a multi-picture production deal with Back on the Strip firm Luminosity Entertainment, in connection with 5120 Entertainment and SmokeyScreen.
Ice Cube will co-produce multiple feature films and TV shows and first up is the comedy Cube in My Head, according to Deadline. Ice Cube, real name O’Shea Jackson Sr., is now preparing for the comedy film with projection to start production later this year.

The project is described as following a hapless white guy who begins to hear the voice of the N.W.A rapper in his head after an accident and starts to turn his life around. Ben Hurwitz will be overseeing the comedy project on behalf of Cube Vision.
Elie Samaha negotiated the deal for Luminosity along with Geno Taylor, while Jeff Kwatinetz and Matt Johnson made arrangements for Cube Vision.
Cube has been involved in the film industry since 1991. The director has starred in nearly 40 films, several of which are highly recognized. Some of them highlight action, while most of his films are comedies, including a few adult-oriented ones, like the Friday franchise, whereas most of them are family-friendly, like the Barbershop franchise.
