‘The Chi’ Actress Jasmine Davis Accused Of Submitting Fake Covid-19 Vaccination Card Before Exit From Series

New details have emerged regarding actress Jasmine Davis’ sudden departure from Lena Waithe’s series The Chi.

According to reports, an inside source claims the 30-year-old actress left the show promptly after being investigated for a false vaccine card. Jasmine Davis announced she was leaving the Chicago based series after only two seasons back in April of this year.

Reportedly, the inside source stated:

“Jasmine asked for a vaccination exemption when she submitted a vaccination card for the prior season….This triggered an investigation and Jasmine then quit the show.”

Around the time of her initial statement, it was speculated the actress was leaving The Chi due to Disney’s controversial response to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay Bill”. Disney, who produces the Showtime series, received major backlash for not publicly disparaging the bill that critics consider to be anti LGBT. Jasmine, who is an openly transgender entertainer, wrote in a caption announcing her split from the drama program:

“Due to the many inquiries I’m officially announcing. I will not be in season 5 of @shothechi and I will no longer be part of #thechi / #disneyproduction .
Sending a BIG THANKS  to all of my family and supporters/fans who have embraced me with along this journey.”

While the actress didn’t say much more concerning her abrupt exit at the time, she later offered a brief explanation to fans who supported her portrayal of transgender salon owner Imani. Via tweet, Jasmine wrote:

“4 2 years i’ve been bullied 4 being on a show that was kind of a nightmare & the moment I clap back Instagram flag my comment as harassing them for trying to harass me on my page it’s unfair how they can come on my page and say whatever with no consequences.”

Neither Jasmine nor The Chi producers have made any public statements regarding recent accusations.
