Outkast’s Big Boi Divorced From Sherlita Patton After 20 Years Of Marriage
Big Boi and Sherlita Patton have called it quits, for good.
According to legal documents, Outkast rapper Big Boi and his estranged wife Sherlita Patton, 49, entered the final divorce decree last month, just weeks after Big Boi, born Antwan Patton, filed for divorce in April.
Big Boi’s legal documents state that there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” between him and Sherlita Patton, implying they were separated and living apart. The exes cooperated well during the divorce as both parties agreed to avoid “maltreating, molesting, harassing, harming or abusing” during the process. A prenuptial agreement was also signed by the exes in 2016, outlining how they’ll divide their assets and debts along with a recent confidential settlement.
The Outcast rapper, 47, and Sherlita tied the knot in March 2002. They share two children, Jordan Patton, 27, and Cross Patton, 21. In October 2013, the former couple broke up and Sherlita filed for divorce claiming their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Sherlita demanded sole custody of Cross Patton and financial support. Eventually, Sherlita and Big Boi got back together. However, their reconciliation didn’t last for long.
