LeBron James’ Son Bronny, 17, Gets First Set Of Tattoos
Bronny James (real name LeBron James Jr.) is following in the footsteps of his father in more ways than one.
The 17-year-old point guard for the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers — eldest son of NBA star LeBron James — recently got his first set of tattoos. While his exact tattoo choice remains a mystery, pictures have surfaced online of Bronny James adding ink to both his neck and wrists.
In an Instagram post, the Los Angeles-based tattoo artist responsible for the tattoos, Ganga, said,
“I made the first tattoo for @bronny thank you very much for the trust, @kingjames [crown emoji] much love fam [red heart emoji]”

Given that his father has more than 20 tattoos covering almost every aspect of his life, from his passions and career to his family, it should come as no surprise that Bronny James would get inked too. In fact, LeBron James recently let Ganga add some more artwork to his upper thigh.

As if the love they have for basketball and tattoos aren’t enough to bond over, LeBron James hopes to one day play on the same NBA team as his son. LeBron said,
“My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”
LeBron later explained that his comments weren’t meant to imply that he wanted to switch teams; rather, he just wants to play with his son during his final season. The earliest the 17-year-old high school athlete may join the league, according to reports, is the 2024 NBA draft.
LeBron added,
“But I also have a goal that if it’s possible—I don’t even know if it’s possible—and if I can play with my son, I would love to do that. Is that something that any man would want one day in life? That’s the coolest thing that could possibly happen. but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to be with this franchise.”
