Sherri Shepherd Says ‘Let’s Be Clear, I’m Not A Mean Person At All!’ While Sharing How Her Show Will Be Different From Wendy Williams

Sherri Shepherd recently shared what her plans are for her new talk show, which kicks off next month.

The 55-year-old television personality is currently doing a lot of press as she gears up for the premiere of her FOX daytime talk show that airs live on September 12. Reportedly, Sherri Shepherd has moved from Los Angeles to New York City to host her very own talk show titled “Sherri.” The program is set to fill a time slot vacated by television host Wendy Williams, 58.

During one of her recent interviews, Sherri Shepherd spoke on what she would like viewers to see and said that she is going to make the show’s atmosphere positive with “kindness and laughter.” She said,

“Let’s be clear, I’m not a mean person at all!”

Sherri shared,

“I’m all about positive energy. I’m about joy. I’m about kindness and laughter. Anyone that knows me will tell you just that.”

The comedian noted that there will be no mean jabs and the show will be celebrity-friendly. Sherri made it clear that she would like to land some A-list guest appearances as her dream guests are Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Meryl Streep. She added,

“And that’s what my talk show will embody. Why would it be anything but that? As a celebrity myself, I know what it’s like to not feel safe appearing on a show or hoping a host doesn’t try to have a gotcha-moment with you. It will be a celebrity-friendly zone on Sherri.”

According to reports, Sherri is happy to take on the challenge of filling in for fan favorite Wendy Williams after she left the network. So far, Sherri seemingly does not feel pressure to duplicate the media personality.
