As previously reported, Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison on June 29 for his sex trafficking & racketeering crimes. He was also ordered to pay a $100,000 fine. Following his sentencing, the “Trapped In The Closet” singer prepared to go before a second jury in Illinois.
The testimony from “Jane” came on the fourth day of Kelly’s federal child pornography trial. A federal grand jury in Chicago indicted R. Kelly on 13 counts in July 2019, accusing him of producing and receiving child pornography, while also enticing minors to engage in illegal sexual activity.
Kelly, who has denied any wrongdoing, has received numerous complaints and allegations for decades about his sexual behavior. Prosecutors allege Kelly and those in his inner circle paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years in an effort to track down video tapes that Kelly made that allegedly show him engaging in sexual activity with underage victims.
