Kim Kardashian’s Alleged Thief Doesn’t Feel Guilty Over Burglary: She Was Throwing Money Away, I Was There To Collect It
One of the burglars that robbed Kim Kardashian in the past has spoken out.
Reports state that Yunis Abbas, who robbed Kim Kardashian in Paris back in October of 2016, declares he doesn’t feel guilty for plundering $10 million worth of jewelry from the SKIMS founder’s hotel suite. In an interview Yunis Abbas, one of the 12 ‘grandpa robbers’, said:
“Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care.”
Yunis Abbas repeated with a chuckle:
“I don’t care.”
Yunis Abbas argued that celebrities shouldn’t flaunt their merchandise on the internet. He said:
“They should be a little less showy towards people who can’t afford it. For some people, it’s provocative.”
Abbas explained:
“I went on the internet, and it’s true, I saw her jewelry, I saw her ring, I saw that she showed it everywhere, and we knew this information through social media.”
Reports claim that Kim Kardashian, mother of four, allegedly experienced flashbacks after the robbery, which she feared being raped or murdered. Abbas acknowleged:
“You don’t come out of it unscathed. We didn’t expect this. Of course she must have been traumatized.”
The robbers prompted the French media to identify them as ‘grandpa robbers,’ being that they were aged in their 60s to 70s. Abbas shared:
“But I saw one of her shows where she threw her diamond in the pool in that episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. I thought, ‘She’s got a lot of money. This lady doesn’t care at all.’’
The burglar could be referring to an episode in which the reality star lost her $75,000 diamond earring in Bora Bora. In the episode her sister, Kourtney Kardashian said:
“Kim, there’s people that are dying.”
Abbas told reporters that his team successfully traced the 41-year-old to her hotel and stayed there from midnight to the time of the crime. Kardashian’s sisters went out that evening taking their bodyguard, leaving her alone in the hotel. Abbas said:
“We got in through the little door that was open on the inside.”
Abbas elaborated:
“As soon as we got in, we took control of the concierge. We overpowered him. We tied him up. But then we looked for the keys of the bedroom she stayed in.”
He explained:
“I stayed downstairs, but my two colleagues went upstairs with the concierge to go to Madame Kardashian’s room.”
Abbas said:
“Madame Kardashian’s secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time. And when we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn’t know anything about the robbery.”
Following the robbery, Abbas spent 22 months behind bars but was granted a release on health grounds. He has since published a memoir of the robbery. According to reports, last November the ‘grandpa robbers’ were indicted on multiple charges in connection with the Paris jewel heist.
